| Position Purpose |
Under supervision of physician, nurse practiioner examines and treats patients independently and in autonomous collaboration with other health care providers. Provides primary health care service, consultation and advice to others as practitioner, and ensures proper illness and injury care and disease prevention, diagnosis, treatment and recovery. |
| Minimum Qualifications | |
| Education |
Graduate from certified Nurse Practitioner Program. Bachelor's and Master's degrees in nursing required |
| Experience |
Three year minimum as a Registered Nurse. At least one year minimum as a Nurse Practitioner preferably in the clinic setting. |
| Training |
Basic computer skills. |
| Licenses / Certifications / Registries |
Licensure in the State of Texas. |

* Minimum 1 year as Nurse Practioner * Broad understanding of patient care. |
